We all know of the impact of GDPR and Privacy Laws on our daily lives, it seems in Didcot those same laws are causing a headache for Police.

After a bike theft from Didcot’s Orchard Gate Centre, the Police asked the centre management for footage of the crime but this was refused.

Mr Ellis who’s bike was stolen is a bit stumped, but says the Police have been great: “It is hard enough to catch offenders for bike crime, and now the police wont be able to view any CCTV for weeks so the probability of catching the offender is zero per cent.”

The issue seems to be with the Centre’s security company tangled up in a Privacy trap.
