The iconic train The Flying Scotsman has been fitted with a front facing CCTV camera to capture and deter illegal train spotters who have been causing major problems for the train and other trains using the lines before and after.

CCTV cameras are to deter and catch the worst trespassers looking to get the best shots of the iconic train.

Because the train uses normal main lines, they are not suitable for people to get close to with 125mph trains running along side and opposite tracks.

We believe the train uses a dash cam style camera – they’d need a high quality camera to be able to zoom into footage and stills to capture faces.
