There has been an uproar this week as more and more people find they are being monitored by the new-tech of Facial Recognition.

In a nut shell, the CCTV camera runs software which can monitor, detect and match faces on the Police database.

While us normal law abiding citizens have nothing to worry about, plenty of people do not like the technology.

But, today Police have told a court in Cardiff that facial recognition is just like normal CCTV (albeit processed automatically – like a fingerprint scan)

The landmark case being heard at Cardiff court could set a precedent, and we should all prepare for facial recognition cameras in the future unless privacy laws are changed.
